FLEXIBLE PIPE DESIGN ENGINEER

Qualifications:
• Degree in either Civil, Mechanical, Resource, Chemical, Materials / Welding Engineering or Naval Architecture.
• Knowledge of offshore oil and gas industry and flexible pipe engineering.
• 8 - 10 years experience in offshore oil and gas industry with minimum 5 years experience in flexible pipe engineering.
• Knowledge of offshore oil and gas industry.
• Experience in flexible pipe engineering.
• Planning and organisation skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Understand and comply with project requirements, and relevant industry standards and regulations
• Perform flexible pipe design for risers and flowlines systems on SUBSEA Projects
• Perform dynamic risers systems analysis
• Interface with other engineering disciplines and drafting team
• Provide project support and technical assistance to manufacturing site/team
• Understand and comply with project requirements, and relevant industry standards and regulations
• Perform flexible pipe design for risers and flowlines systems on SUBSEA Projects
• Liaise with Drafting Office Team Leader on drafting resource requirements for projects.
• Interface with other engineering disciplines during the course of project execution.
• Participate in formal or informal reporting to Flexible Engineering Team Leader on status of engineering tasks lessons learnt and resources.
• Review engineering deliverables as required by squad check process.
• Manage standard and non-standard flexible pipe engineering performed by Engineering Consultants / Suppliers to meet project, statutory and Company Group rules to project schedule.
• Attend meetings with Clients, Suppliers and / or Consultants to assist on technical issues relating to flexible pipe engineering.
• As required by projects, manage procurement of either permanent or temporary material / equipment associated with flexible pipe engineering.
• Provide site engineering supervision / technical assistance for manufacturing, fabrication and / or installation site.
• Assist in preparation of tenders.
• In specific cases, undertake role of Project Manager for a flexible pipe engineering design study.
• In specific cases, undertake role in project as Engineering Team Leader for multi-discipline scopes of engineering work.
• Undertake flexible pipe engineering tasks as required by project.
• Undertake engineering tasks in other engineering disciplines.
• Assist Flexible Engineering Team Leader in development of Discipline Engineering Technical Notes and Guidelines.

• Successful completion of supply / installation as per project, statutory and Company Group requirements.
• Knowledge of tender process.
• Project Management of completed and technically correct flexible pipe engineering design study on time and to budget.
• Management of completed and technically correct engineering scopes of work on projects / tenders on time and to budget.
