Job Description/ Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Software Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Provide code, data and configuration patches to customers, both internal and external to resolve customer service defect reports and change requests in respect of Savi Technology’s software products and solutions
- Replicate customer system environments internally for troubleshooting and provide diagnosis as second level support behind Savi Technology’s Customer Support department
- Work with third party software vendors to resolve issues originating in them that affect Savi Technology’s software products and solutions
- Verify coding, data and configuration patch solutions within test environments
- Track, document and close solutions within the company bug tracking software system
- Consolidate sets of patches into Service Packs and work with QA to ensure certification against acceptance test plans and platforms.
- Replicate defect repairs to product and solutions source code trunks or otherwise assist product and solution development engineering to ensure non-regression of issues in future releases.
- Specify and/or develop supportability feature requirements in Savi Technology’s product and solutions
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related disciplines
- Minimum 2 years of software development life cycle and knowledge in J2SE/J2EE
- Familiar with source code control and bug tracking software
- Familiar with WebLogic Application Server, WebSphere Application Server, JBoss Application Server and Oracle RDBMS
- Good written and oral communications skills in English.
- Pro-active, resourceful with initiative and a good team player
- Friendly and positive working attitude
Duration: 6 months with extension or convert to perm depend on performance
