QAQC Engineer (Oil & Gas)
Perak (Malaysia) - Lumut
Responsibilities:
Main Role:
Contribute to safe working practices and safety improvements in
Company & Contractor facilities
Comply with Company Life Saving Rules
Facilitate Internal Project Audits, Reviews, Project Health Check,
monitor Contractors Audit schedule.
Ensure quality requirements are adequately addressed in QC plans
of contractors and vendors, and identify applicable hold, witness,
monitor and review points in line with their commodity, critically and
historical performance.
Provide QC Surveillance during fabrication, installation and
painting/coating activities
Manage the preparation and disposition of contractor / company NCR
Monitor the close out of any construction NCR, TQ and Punch list
(PL) or Outstanding work list (OWL)
Ensure As-Built fabrication drawings are available as part of
mechanical/construction completion including third party
verification/regulatory Certification
Assist with Third Party Inspection of Vendor Equipment and skids
as required.
Ensuring document control and change control process is in
accordance to procedure.
Secondary Role:
Participate on the flawless project delivery meeting and weekly walk about.
Assist in verifying requirements in the prerequisite of the VCR.
Ensure that the manufacturing QC data packages are completed and
delivered in accordance with the contractual requirements including
the specific inspection details e.g. Baseline Inspection details and
approvals on quality waivers required for the "lifetime inspection
activities" for the commodity facilities
Develop and maintain inspection directives, profiles for selected
commodities, third party inspector commodity qualifications and
performance databank, manufacturer and contractor performance databank
(performance indicators)

Requirements:
Qualifications
Higher national Diploma or Bachelors Degree in
Mechanical/Construction Engineering preferred
Experience
Minimum of 10 years experience in the oil and gas industry in
engineering, inspection, quality assurance, quality control and
certification related to contractor fabrication and vendor supply of
equipment and materials (EPC projects).
Audit experience
Be fully familiar with international codes of practice related to
the design, fabrication and maintenance on statutory equipment
Sound knowledge of welding processes and their use with different
materials including Duplex Stainless Steel all
Sound knowledge of NDT and on and off-stream inspection
techniques, such RT, UT, MPI, LPI, coating/painting, mechanical
testing etc
Be competent and experienced in Technical Report writing
Be well versed in both spoken and written English, whilst
experienced in using PC and MS-Word/Excel software.
Full understanding of HSE management principles and its application
Working Knowledge of all relevant HSE regulations including
procedures and instructions
Proficient in HSE management principles and its application in Shell
Training
Coaching for performance
Hold job related Professional Qualifications e.g. PSN, CSWIP, NACE
Internal/Lead Auditor
Special Abilities
Knowledgeable of Inspection Engineering
Understand company engineering, maintenance, and production
business processes.
Promote quality inspection and certification activities within the Company
Team Player
