Our client, a coal mining company in Kalimantan, is seeking an experienced candidate for the following position:
Mechanical Engineer – Power Generation (ME-PG), Balikpapan Based
Job Descriptions:
· Coordinate and manage all projects related to the coal and diesel fired power stations.
· Coordinate and manage any other significant mechanical projects in the processing plant.
· Investigate and complete formal failure analysis reports on all mechanical failures for fixed plant.
· Assist with the development of preventative maintenance practices thorough out site.
· Provide technical assistance as required to all mechanical maintenance activities.
· Provide drafting and design support to all other projects across the site.
· Drive change through process and implementation.
Requirements:
- A Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years in design, engineering and feasibility studies of power generation projects.
- Proven practical experience within a power station with detailed knowledge of Turbine and boiler operations.
- A commitment to working to best practices and ability to achieve as part of a highly skilled team.
- Proven experience with leading bias toward active implementation of practical solutions.
- Experience in cogeneration from coal fired power & diesel fired power.
- Proven experience assessing equipment failures.
- Experience in mechanical reliability engineering within a heavy industrial environment.
- Proficient in SAP and relevant packages
- Previous engineering experience within the mining industry
