Responsibilities:

Responsible for ensuring best-in-class usability experience
Conduct and monitor the compilation of research on best practices in websites development specifically e-Government website
Conduct and monitor the activities involving expert review and analysis of existing websites and portals under the MPS projet based on standards and guidelines
Conduct and monitor the activities involving expert review and analysis of websites and portals developed under the MPS project at set intervals and frequencies based on standards and guidelines

Conduct and monitor gap analysis between developed sites and standards, guidelines and best practices
Responsible for full user research cycle as well as user requiremet studies
Design, conduct and manage research activities to identify user and business needs when required
Identify project segmentation, user and business goals, and technical requirements
Create tasks, screens or documentation required for testing, and qualitative and quantitative success creteria defination
Lead the development of suitable information architecture and information architecture templets for websites and portals under the MPS project
Present research, proposals and findings to cross-functional group
Lead data gathering by architecture and managing comprehensive research programs for web development initiatives. Methodologies will consist of competitive reviews, focus group, field studies, usability tests, surveys, congnitive walkthroughs and other means
Manage IA team consisting of Information Architects and Research Analysts

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information System or equivalent.

Minimum of 5 years of usability experience in a corporate or consulting environment required
Minimum of 3 years experience in conducting customer research on web sites development
Proven and impressive track record of building usable solutions for e-commerce web sites or portals
Excellent knowledge of best practices in web conventions and human factors coupled with knowledge of current usability research, theories and methodologies
Broad-based knowledge of Internet best practices across major verticals including Technology & Telecommunications and Government and Public Services
Knowledge of internet technology such as browser and coding languages (HTML, JavaScript, CSS) and the impact those variables have on the design of a system and ensuing impact to the user
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Able to manage a medium to large team
Superior project management skills. Prioritise plan activities taking all factors such as deadlines and resources requirements into account
Able to identify learning opportunities and makes the professional development of the team a priority
