Our major EPC client is looking for a Heavy and Light Vehicle Coordinator to be working on their major project in North Africa.
The purpose of the role will be to coordinate the heavy and light vehicles on site.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Manage the clients Vehicle workshops and associated facilities including spare parts warehouse
• Supervise and Co-ordinate scheduled repairs and servicing for a fleet of Heavy and Light vehicles and Caterpillar earthworks equipment
• Ensure a safe working environment is operational in all vehicle repair shops and associated facilities
• Act as focal point and interface between the client and Maintenance department
• Technical authority for all heavy and light vehicles, earthworks equipment and mobile plant
• Ensures compliance with clients safety and environmental standards, respective technical standards, quality procedures, policies, work plans and schedules.
• Ensure that all spare parts are correctly requisitioned to meet vehicle service intervals and submitted to the client for procurement
• Provide training, supervision, mentoring and guidance to Third Country Nationals and National staff
• Provide the client and focal points with accurate monthly reports and statistics for all vehicle, mobile plant and equipment repairs
Qualifications:
Experience / Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of the motor vehicle industry
• Minimum of five years experience supervising maintenance and repairs of heavy and light vehicles and Caterpillar earthworks equipment
Personal Qualities
• Extensive knowledge of respective industry standards and current best practice
• Fluent spoken and written English, with strong report writing skills
• Excellent management, leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer literate on Windows-based applications
• Methodical, thorough, proactive and reliable worker
• Self motivated and essential Teamwork skills
• No cultural barriers
• Committed to further development on craft, plant systems, procedures and Competency Assurance Requirements
Work Requirements
• Willing to work on a site, 12hrs a day, 7 days a week and possibly alternate "shift patterns"
• Current medical certification
• Possible work assignment on remote sites
• Must be willing to work in challenging climatic conditions
• Must comply with the requirements of PSN Health, Safety, Environmental and Socio-economic policies
• Current driving license from country of origin acceptable to the authorities
