One of our clients is a leading international Mining Company and involved with a number of projects and is looking for a qualified candidates to fill the position for :

WORKPLACE HEALTH & SAFETY OFFICER
( MBP 221 – 53 - 4 )

The requirements are as follows :

EDUCATION
•S1 Degree in Occupational, Safety & Health or related discipline with min. 3 years experiences of OHS & E experience at Certificate IV level in an engineering environment

SKILL
•Coordinate health, safety and environmental direction in accordance with the Mining’s Company current safety system
•Assist in the monitoring and inspection of all Legislative required inspections, i.e. electrical equipment, lifting equipment, heavy equipment etc.
•Strong knowledge in ISO 14001 : 2004 or OHSASS 18001 : 1999
•Have completed Certificate IV in OH & S or equivalent
•Requirement for travel to remote sites and conduct safety related activities
•Strong interpersonal skill in a team, self motivated, independent, familiar with working under pressure environment
•Competent level of computer literacy
•Fluent written and spoken in English
