They are looking for a Finance Controller for their Singapore operations

Finance Controller

The Job:
§ Represent the company on key financial matters with governmental agencies.
§ Lead the finance team to provide the full spectrum of financial and accounting activities for Singapore to meet business needs and goals. This includes general accounting, financial, management and regulatory reporting, internal controls, tax planning and legal issues, cash and credit control functions.
§ Provide timely and sound financial advice to senior management in relation to corporate and strategic initiatives.
§ Provide effective communications to all levels to drive financial performance and internal control.
§ Oversee accounting activities in accordance with the company policies and procedures as well as be responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting and statements of Singapore legal entities.
§ Oversee preparation of monthly/quarterly/ yearly financial reporting for leadership review.
§ Oversee external statutory and tax reporting.
§ Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 requirements.
§ Coordinate integration of acquired companies.
§ Maintain relationships with outsourced accountants, solicitors, banks and key vendors.
§ Liaise directly with U.S. accounting, tax, legal, shareholder services and payroll departments, as required.
§ Oversee GST compliance process.
§ Develop and manage to organization benchmarks.
Requirements:
§ Degree in Accountancy or CPA.
§ Minimum 5-7 years of related experience with at least 3 years of experience in a management role.
§ Proven track record as a contributory member to the senior management team with the ability to lead and work alongside an existing finance team.
§ Dynamic, strategic, self starter, possessing acute business acumen and strong leadership capabilities.
§ Able to set priorities and work to tight deadlines.
§ Excellent influencing and presentation skills that will instill confidence at senior management level.
§ Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to team with individuals in diverse business and cultural environments.
§ Willingness to work hands-on in addition to developing and executing the strategic vision for the department.
§ Familiarity with statutory reporting requirements.
§ Sound technical knowledge and strong operational and financial control background.
§ Familiarity with US Sarbanes-Oxley Act is an added benefit.
§ Experience in a MNC environment/ semiconductor industry will be an added advantage.
§ Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Word).
§ Experience with Peoplesoft or other ERP system a plus.
§ Able to travel approximately 10-25% but may increase as business grows.
