Recruiting for this 6-9 month contract assignment for CDC-Atlanta:
Technical Writer
• Provide input, and technical support for the revision of the Program Guidance Manual and the early screening project.
• Update all revised chapters of the Program Guidance Manual.
• Provide information about research in hearing loss and review publications for the team.
• Perform reviews and provide comments on research activities and publications and documents for the team.
• Review information from EHDI partners; provide feedback and technical assistance related to site visits in conjunction with program staff.
• Assist with agenda development, logistics, conducting, and reporting of technical assistance site visits with cooperative agreement awardees.
• Knowledge of principles, wide methods, and techniques of communication
in order to develop editorial strategies and written materials to disseminate technical and scientific information to wide range of audiences.
• Knowledge of the field of public health and newborn screening to translate such technical and scientific information into lay language.
• Travel to appropriate meetings and conferences. Domestic travel is anticipated at four trips per year. States to include, South Carolina, Georgia, Kansas, Oregon, Washington, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands and Illinois.
Minimum Education/Experienc e or Equivalent: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Master's Degree or AuD, if related. Ph.D. OR equivalent doctoral degree.
