Reporting To - Chief Operating Officer
Education & Training
Bachelor in Engineering – Mechanical, Civil or any equivalent field.
Experience
Approximately 10 years operational experience in Subsea Construction Operations and a sound understanding of the engineering, legal and commercial requirements related to the working environment.
Main Responsibilities
• Accountable for the management and preparation of assigned tenders.
• Management and execution of assigned projects, in full accordance with legislative, contractual, procedural, and budgetary constraints.
• Establishing, implementing, and reporting project budgets, clearly defining all areas of cost, revenue and areas of concern.
• Planning, preparing, scheduling, and organising all resources and services necessary to perform a project or tender.
• Communicating project parameters to all personnel involved in a project. This includes onshore and offshore personnel both direct and indirect.
• Building a professional working relationship with the customer.
• Preparation and approval of final reports to the customer.
• Ensuring a suitable contract or agreement document exists to cover the services being provided by the Company and likewise, to ensure any sub-contract agreements are established with suppliers.
• Ensuring contract invoices are produced and submitted on a timely basis for all services rendered by the Company. Monitor payments within contractually allotted time periods.
• Checking, validating and approving suppliers invoices. Following up any disputes to arrive at an early settlement/resolution.
• On completion of contracts, analysing all areas of project performance for the purpose of identifying any areas where improvements can be made in the future.
• Attending and contributing to Management Meetings.
• Contributing to overall company planning and future strategy in conjunction with other Departments.
• Ensuring the Company HSEQ policy is correctly adhered to by allocated project personnel.
• Identifying appropriate technical, operational and safety training for project team personnel to meet project requirements.
