US-FL-Heathrow: SQL DBA and Datawarehousing Analyst To apply for this position, please visit this Website. http://dba.fyicenter.com/jobs/99897813_SQL_DBA_and_Datawarehousing_Analyst.html To see other opportunities, please visit http://dba.fyicenter.com/ Date: 08-Jul-2009 SQL DBA and Datawarehousing Analyst Responsibilities • Architecting, development and support of key infrastructures (databases, reporting, analytics, scripts, tools, scorecards, techniques) for key SQL Server 2008 databases. • Code transact SQL (T-SQL) (authoring stored procedures, authoring and use of functions, error handling, transaction statement, table variables, etc); • SQL - DB Design, identity columns, relationships, indexes, trigger constraints, data marts, OLAP, and implementing data warehouse best practices. • Perform root cause analysis and propose corrective action planning to support production, QA and development database environments. • Write and evaluate business requirement specifications with various technology and implements the required databases, data marts and dimensions. • Write scripts, stored procedures and processes for application development. • Manage and perform maintenance, backups and security for the development and production databases. Qualifications • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related area • 5 + years of database administration experience required. • Experience with triggers, stored procedures, data mining and data warehouse development is required. • Proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (RDBMS, Analysis Services, integration Services, reporting Services) in relation to Database Administration, Data Warehouse development and Data Mining. • Familiarity with Oracle 11i • Ability to program complex database stored procedures and functions. • Database application programming/reporting Microsoft SQL2008 in a.NET environment. • Demonstrated proficiency with Visual Studio 2008 Team Suite • Exposure to XML, VB.Net; JavaScript; HTML • Use of VSS; C#.Net and reporting services tools and ADO.Net. • Proficiency using software Control Management Tools (i.e. Visual Source Safe, subversion, Perforce or equivalent) • Demonstrated ability to analyze the performance health of an enterprise support production database. • Ability to work to structured programming documents in a structured environment following team practices for review, storage, etc. • Ability to work in unstructured, agile" programming environment with discovery-based daily changes to programming tasks, while still working to team principles and goals and to business goals. • Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) is preferred.
