Project Operations Director (Oil & Gas EPC - Asia Pacific)

Our
Client is a reputable MNC and they are currently looking for a Project
Operations Director to manage their projects in Asia Pacific for the
Oil & Gas industry.

Reponsibilities:
Project Proposal & Pursuit

*Overall
responsiblility for project proposals including bid preparation,
costing, procurement, margin analysis, equipment selection, engineering
drawings, documentations and calculations resulting in a professional
and competitive quotation package.
*Develop and manage a project
proposal team comprising of experienced proposal engineers in pursuing
successful project wins. These include working closely with the
Regional sales managers and channels to establish targeted projects and
proactively pursue with the team's strong technical and commercial
skills.
*Manage and lead project sales and its associated P&L.
All costs and resources are wholly self-funded by project sales &
its margins.
*Develop and manage a procurement process to attain best cost for all buy-outs associated with projects.
*Establish
buying agreements with strategic suppliers/vendors and inter-division
purchases Qualification and approval of vendors in compliance with
company's sourcing policy to ensure quality assurance.
*Lead sales
managers and their channels in winning project orders including
developing project strategy, competitive/ strategic selection of
equipment, negotiating best commercial terms/ contractual models and
conducting customer meetings.
*Liason with Sales Order Administration (SOM) group and CST Manager to review all commercial contracts.
*Must be familiar and manage all project contractual terms & conditions of sale.

Project Management

*Supervise
project management teams in executing all project orders including
metering and regulatory skids integration in Asia with low cost
in-country project execution. This comprises of co-ordinating
subcontractors, local integration, customer's factory acceptance test
(FAT), third party inspection and quality controls.
*Ensure good
project management & execution maintaining high engineering
standards and practices at all times. This includes successful
commissioning and start up at customer sites if necessary.
*Qualify
local engineering fabricators to ensure all Natural Gas Technologies
standards are met through a qualification program so that skids are of
Conpany's quality and standards.
*Ensure targeted profit margins are
met or exceeded for all projects shipped through efficient cost
management and effective project management.
*Liason with sales order administration group for seamless shipping and invoicing of projects.
*Lead
and conduct technical training in all aspects of Natural Gas
Technolgies to sales channels, local project partners, internal staffs
and customers.
*Provide after sales services to sales channels and customers in maintaining a high level of customers' satisfaction.

Important Note:
*Require extensive travel.
*Chinese language skills are preferred for managing projects in China.

Pre-requisites:
*Degree in Instrumentation, Mechanical, Control Engineering. Instrumentation background is a must.
*Minimum
of 8-10 years experience in process control industry and project
management in Engineering, Procurement & Construction firm, with at
least 5 years in a managerial capacity.
*Solid people management skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all level.
*Knowledge of commercial and financial issues.
*Decisive, drive and ability to deliver effective, innovative solutions.
*Hands-on management style with focus on customer needs and satisfaction.
