Software Development Coordinator, India.
Geologix is looking to expand our global team, initially at our corporate headquarters in Norwich, where a full-time staff vacancy now exists for a talented individual, who will assist us in the set up and eventual onsite management of a new Software Development Facility, to be

based in India.

Applicants must hold a good first degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a Physical or Numerate Science, or in an Engineering discipline.

You must be demonstrably clear thinking, extremely well-organized & self-disciplined; in addition you should show an active, grounded interest in the very latest Microsoft® technologies and tools, including extensive knowledge of web services, .NET, SQL Server, and a real keenness to confront & overcome any practical challenges that may be encountered while working within our distributed team environment, which is entirely geared towards one of the world’s most demanding industries … Oil & Gas Exploration. Some prior experience/knowledge of software development in the oil industry would therefore be particularly useful.

Geologix believes in developing individuals into roles appropriate to their aptitudes, abilities and ambitions, but you should expect to be initially heavily involved, with an expected high level of proficiency, in C, C++/MFC & C++_# programming and testing; in addition you will assume early responsibility for the day-to-day management of the new facility in India and in building a strong local team of programmers there.
