we have a very good opening for Senior unix and storage Administrator for a very big MNC here.
Below is the Job description:


Key Responsibilities



Ø To provide expert level design and development of Linux, UNIX and storage infrastructure across Asia Pacific.

Ø Serve as a single point of contact, SME, and provide technical oversight and accountability for all Linux/UNIX and storage support requirements and outage resolutions for Asia Pacific.

Ø Drive continuous improvement of Linux/UNIX and storage infrastructures though frequent analysis and review of system performance and resource requirements.

Ø Engage in capacity planning and infrastructure roadmap development.

Ø Responsible for the discovery, evaluation and recommendation of new technology, processes and procedures.

Key Skills / Experience



looking for minimum 5years of experience in Linux/Unix/Storage

Ø Significant experience of core Linux/UNIX tasks:

o Expert level knowledge of the setup/configuration of Linux/UNIX systems, Kernel/OS upgrades, Patch upgrades, modules/driver installation.

o Demonstrated ability to end-to-end plan and build RedHat Linux infrastructures

o Server virtualization detail knowledge & Setup experience in XEN/VMware

o Redhat cluster configuration.

o System performance analysis/ system troubleshooting.

o Development of tools using shell scripts if needed/debug shell/Perl scripts.

o Linux LVM configuration, VERITAS volume manager/Redhat cluster manager.

o Linux multipath I/O configuration

o Support backup & restore using netbackup.

o Command in DNS/NIS/Automount/ SAMBA/LDAP.

o Apache/Tomcat setups.

Ø Significant experience of core storage administration tasks.

o Expert level knowledge of the setup/configuration of storage systems.

o Significant exposure to Network Appliance and STK storage solutions

o NAS/SAN design and implementation.

o Fiber Channel, NFS, iSCSI.

o Disaster recovery scenario solution development and implementation.
