Expression of Interest
Papua Women's Empowerment Project

 
 Oxfam GB seeking expression of interest from relevant civil society organizations or individual to design and develop baseline data for Papua Women's Empowerment Project (PAWE).
 The Papua Women's Empowerment Project, funded by the Japanese Social Development Fund, is designed to empower poor Papua Women by increasing their participation in the community driven development program (RESPEK) so that they are better able to benefit from the program. It will promote greater gender equality by supporting Papuan women to address their needs and priorities through;
i)strengthening existing women's organization and networks to provide leadership, training, and advocacy to women at village level,
ii) building capacity of individual women through demand driven capacity building and training opportunities;
iii) building awareness and capacity of RESPEK project staff and other key stakeholders such as village leaders and government officials to promote greater gender equality.
 Oxfam GB will manage the projects with the strategic support and guidance of a steering committee.
 The selected CSO/organization/individual will be expected to design and develop baseline data of PAWE program in Papua in January till March 2010.
 Criteria:
1. Have an experience to develop and design baseline data in Papua
2. Good understanding of the women project in Papua
3. Good understanding of the women group context in Papua
4. Demonstrated capacity and effectively design baseline dataSubmission should comply with the following:
1. Maximum three pages in length
2. Address the above criteria
3. Submit by e-mail to jayapura@oxfam.org.uk
4. Deadline for submission is January 26, 2010Process:
1. An initial short listing will follow based on submissions of expression of interest
2. short listed CSOs/Organizations/Individual will be invited to submit proposals
3. A final selection will be made from the short listed CSOs/Organization/individual
