1. Chief Officer is the one who responsible in event of the incapacity of the master, they are second in charge, having the ability of the master, not the responsibility. Aside from watchkeeping duties, chief officer is responsible for the supervision of the second mate, Third Mate, Bosun. The chief Officer monitors all third party people as they work on the deck. In addition, the chief Mate assist the Master of excercise control effectively over marine operations with appriopiate regard for the protection of the environment, maintenance of equipment and personal safety.

The chief officer overseas the maintenance of live saving, fire fighting, deck and lifting equipment in addition to maintaining the exterior of the vessel . The chef mate must take sure that the equipment and materials and are all loaded and safely stowed away onboard, labelled and secured according to regulations. The chief Mate must also make sure that the vesselis maintained and operated according to the guidelines as they are stated in the Marine Operations Manual.

Job Description :
1. Bosun undertakes the role of organizing deck operations, which usually includes storage, use and maintenance of toys and tenders, equipment, deck maintenance and deck supplies.
2. To supervise deck crew of the merchant ship. The bosun is also task to do the planning, scheduling and assigning of work in the ship.
3. Plans the dayli work schedule and give task to the deck crew. Check the work if it complies with the approved operating procedures.
4. Regular check up of the vessel and maintain areas of the ship, cleaning and painting.
5. Operates basic function of the windlass which includes letting go and heaving up and an anchor. Also responsible for cordage, colors, deck crew and the ship's boats while on board.
6. Main tender driver, and will normally oversee activity on the passerelle (gangway) and will serve in a security role, making sure that guests are embarking and disembarking safely, while ensuring that no one enters the yacht without proper authorization.

Permit to Work (PTW) Training Instructor

Basic Function and Scope:
Prepares PTW Training Modules. Conducts PTW training, Electronic PTW training, Permit Receiver training, Permit Issuer training, and Risk Assessment training for all Qatargas and Contractors PTW users. Communications of PTW training schedules and other training related activities across all PTW users in Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Contractors etc. Effectively managing training records of all PTW users. Conducting Competency Assessment of all PTW users. Preparing and issuing the Permit Receiver and Permit Issuer badges to all successful attendees.

Minimum Requirements:

B.Eng. Chemical Engineering or Equivalent. 10 years Operations / Maintenance/SHE experience in the oil and gas process and gas industry of which 5 years should have been as a Training Instructor. International Standards and best practices of PTW. SHE procedures and practices. Hazards Identifications. Risk Assessment and JSA practices. Integrated Safe System of Work (ISSOW).
