IBM Content Management Expert

Location  : KY

Duration  : 6 Months+

Rate       : DOE

We need a very strong IBM WCM (Websphere Content Management) performance tuning expert in the following areas.

Required Skills :

Portal related performance issues, specifically regarding tuning and configuration of WCM caching with respect

to client customization of the personalization (PZN) process using the WCM API.

Resource needs exposure and practical usage of IBM/WCM dynacache

Load testing and analysis of logs during the PMR investigation has shown that the PZN process causes issues

with memory threads, caching and cached objects.

Changes in tuning and configuration of WCM caching shall be done in a holistic system manner such that the

rest of the portal environment is not adversely affected. The services shall consist of a diagnostic phase and

a solutions recommendation phase

The problem diagnosis involves verifying the portion(s) of the production environment which cause(s) the

bottleneck is indeed the WCM PZN process. The Supplier will:

Gather the production logs for all the servers involved and examine them for irregularities.

Attach performance monitors (such as JMeter, Tivoli Performance Viewer, etc.) on suspected sub-systems.

Perform stress tests on any systems identified as poor performers to determine the load range that causes the poor performance.

Working knowledge of all the products in the Yum enterprise portal suite(Webseal, Tivoli,Unix). A solution timeframe cannot be estimated until the problem sub-system has been identified. The WebSphere Portal servers are the most likely candidates for causing the problem but this must be determined with performance monitor reports or log statements before ignoring the other portions of the system.

Thanks & Regards

Thomas Fedrick
