Seeking Contract Senior Technical Recruiter for Online Media Co. in Santa Monica, CA


 

Fast growing online media company in Santa Monica is seeking a contract Senior Technical Recruiter.

In this role, you will source and attract top talent for new and existing businesses within the organization. You will be part of a team of hands-on, experienced recruiters with an emphasis on sourcing and partnering with managers to find top technical talent. You will provide a true consultative approach to talent acquisition within the company by:

• Developing a pipeline of spot on Software Engineers, Data Engineers, Systems Engineers & Technology Leaders.
• Developing dialogue with top Software Engineers by using: search engine sourcing, Linkedin Recruiter (Corporate product), technical message boards, attendance at technical meet-ups, our existing database of candidates and other social media networking.
• Helping raise the performance of the talent acquisition team by participating in recruiting strategy sessions to share best practices in sourcing, identify new recruiting tools, improve workflow efficiency and recruiting processes.
• Partnering with management team to drive key hiring initiatives, set expectations and provide guidance on recruitment process/strategy

Skills

• Demonstrated ability to vet technical resumes and conduct technical screens to create an enviable hit rate with candidates you present.
• Ideal industry experience includes working the "recruiting side" technical recruiting for a staffing agency, or corporate recruiting for an Internet-based or digital business (i.e., eCommerce, Digital Media, Social Media, and/or Interactive Advertising Agency)
• You have a positive attitude, a confidence-inspiring manner, and a keen sense of determination and urgency.
• You're a fearless cold caller with an understanding of how to build and track your network of candidates.
• You have strong verbal and written communication skills, and you're equally effective communicating in formal and informal settings with senior executives, peers, and candidates.
• You understand how to build a candidate's enthusiasm about the opportunity and the organization.
