Good working knowledge of XML and XSLT, XPath · Good knowledge of WebServices · Strong scripting background (Shell/Bash, Perl, JavaScript/VBScript, Powershell) · Good working knowledge of Perl/Python/PHP · Strong background in TCP/IP and computer networking, diagnose · Good troubleshooting skills, resolves technical software and programmatic problems · 3 - 4 years experience with Windows and Linux server administration · Must have database knowledge: ORACLE, MSSQL, MySQL or PostGreSQL certification is a plus. · Must have excellent written and verbal communication · Able to operate solo or in a team environment, coordinates multiple tasks, ability to work through issues with minimal supervision and support · Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in electronic documents, wikis; Working in a remote/distribute team, online collaboration · Experience administering and using network management systems · Hands-on experience with monitoring protocols: SNMP (Read MIBs, traps) SOAP/XML XML-RPC Syslog SQL 1-2 years of experience with regular expressions Ability to document work Familiar with software design, coding, unit test, integration test. Provide effort estimates Desired Skills:* · 2 - 3 years with object-oriented scripting (Ruby or Python, PHP5, or Perl) · Experience in NMS/EMS monitoring application development. CCNA/CCIE certification or Working knowledge of IOS Good working knowledge of ticketing systems (Remedy, HP Service Desk) Use of Javascript, DHTML, CSS, ActionScript Use of Java (or C++) · VMware setup and monitoring is a plus
