Qualification: CA /LLB
Experience: 3 – 5 Yrs post CA/ LLB
Responsibilities:
* Helping multinationals in India , manage the indirect tax consequences of global restructuring, mergers and acquisitions.
* Planning, developing and implementing indirect tax (Service Tax, Excise Duty, Customs Duty, Sales Tax, VAT or Value added Tax etc) strategies to minimize taxes.
* Take independent responsibility while heading/ performing assigned projects in areas of indirect taxation mainly in the areas of excise, service tax, VAT etc.
* Research on technical issues and new developments in Indirect tax laws
* Benchmarking against industry preferred practice to identify new ways of helping clients to reduce indirect tax costs and capturing permanent cash flow benefits.
* Supporting and overseeing indirect tax audits strategy and support.
* Provide indirect tax services to a range of clients working closely with multidisciplinary tax teams.
* Helping with audits or investigation by the tax authorities.
* Due Diligence from Taxation perspective.
* Must have good experience in tax and regulatory norms applicable in Mergers & Acquisition.
Desired Profile
* Post qualification experience in consulting / industry with strong understanding of the indirect taxation aspects.
* Strong communication skills.
