We have multiple urgent positions for "SR. VMS SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR"
with one of our prestigious clients in Singapore.

SR. VMS SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

Responsibilities:
Manage HP VMS servers
Responsible for supporting the daily operations of HP VMS servers
Provide support for Internal IT departments and Internal customers
Generate detail system (e.g. VMS server configuration etc), proposals
base on application or project requirements
Ensure VMS server security (e.g. hardening VMS configuration) to meet
IT security compliance (e.g. ISO 270001)
Perform system capacity (e.g. CPU, memory, storage) planning to
support business growth
Ensure critical VMS system uptime of >99.8%
Maintaining system backup solution using EMC Legato together with SUN
StorageTek L700
Maintain and develop VMS administration scripts written in native
scripts (e.g. error log monitoring & notification scripts etc)
Provide maintenance support including backup, patches deployment,
system performance tuning, issue troubleshooting etc
Participate and support regular Disaster Recovery (DR) exercise by
performing the VMS server recovery and identify, document and close
the gaps in the recovery and ensure relevant DR documentations are
updated regularly

Requirements:
Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Engineering or equivalent
Obtained HP VMS system administration certification an advantage
Three or more years experience supporting HP VMS system.
Experience in configuring and support HP clustering technologies
Experience of HP UX system administration or Oracle database
administration would be an advantage
Knowledge in HP Alpha/Itanium servers is a must
Proficient in VMS scripts programming is a must
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Excellent troubleshooting skills
