Job Description:

UMTS Network Integration & Test engineer. Positions available supporting the
integration, growth, and testing of Alcatel-Lucent UMTS Circuit Switch core
(LCP & LNG) as well as the Alcatel-Lucent UMTS RNC. Job entails the
potential for extensive travel and unconventional work hours. Applicants
will be involved in the deployment and testing of 3G technology for a major
telecommunications carrier in North America and will be responsible for
working with live network elements. Engineers will be involved in
troubleshooting end to end network issues across equipment from multiple
vendors.

Qualifications:

* Minimum 3-years experience working with telecommunications hardware and
software on site at customer locations.

* Detailed knowledge of UMTS / WCDMA.

* Working knowledge of mobile network call processing and associated
translations .

* Basic knowledge of ATM concepts & features * Working knowledge configuring
ATM modules (T1/E1, DS3, Ch. OC-3, OC-12, etc.) .

* Excellent communications skills (Verbal and written)

* Experience troubleshooting end-to-end Inter-Network Integration in the
field.

* In-depth knowledge of provisioning of TCP-IP Addresses for Servers and
Work Stations (IP address, Netmask, gateway and VLANs)

* Hands on experience with Alcatel-Lucent LCP, LNG, or RNC hardware and
logical provisioning preferred

* Knowledge of or previous experience working with Nortel UMTS RNC or
Passport products is also desired.
