 Client's Profile
 Our Client is a member of International Association of Drilling Contractors is a leading oilfield
 well services company operating in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
 Since the start of operations in 2001, they are now operating 11 drilling and workover rigs in the
 major oil producing oblasts of the country and has drilled over 90 wells to Sept 2008.
 
 Managed by an international team of multi-disciplined professionals, services are provided within
 the framework of an ISO 9001 certified quality management system, a commitment to the highest
 safety standards, and a company wide culture of continuous improvement devoted to ensuring
 customer satisfaction.
 
 Their goal is to continue expanding their operations in Kazakhstan and also into neighboring
 countries. Rig count is expected to double within the next 2 years and introduction of additional
 well services.

 Scope of Responsibilities
 Corporate Finance - Sourcing Long-Term & Short-Term funds:
  • Sourcing of term loans and working capital loans (local and external) - Preparation of financial application, negotiation, disbursement & reporting.

 Trade Finance & Treasury:

  • Handled traded finance instruments in big volumes (Bank guarantees & Letter of Credits, including transfers and establishing back to back).
  • Cash Flow Management, Revenue Forecasting, FOREX Management, Investments, Bridge Financing, Bill Discounting, etc.
  • Negotiated and implemented some innovative cost saving measures reducing the finance costs substantially.

 New Projects in Oil & Gas , acquisitions, feasibility studies:

  • Conducting feasibility study, due diligence process, Costing, Preparation of offers, Negotiation of purchase consideration, etc… and subsequently arranging finance and completing the takeover activities of oil & gas related business..
  • Project implementation activities particularly integrated oil drilling projects which include acquisition of land, negotiation of machinery, execution of contracts, tendering and evaluation of bids for Oil & Gas, monitoring the project implementation, etc…

 Accounts, Planning & MIS:

  • Finalization of Corporate Accounts & Group level consolidation, including finalization of audits conducted by statutory and management auditors.
  • Management of accounts receivables, payables and Inventory management.
  • Preparation of budgets (operational & capex)
  • Payroll management and provident fund matters
  • Liaising with local government authorities and revenue department
  • Preparation of financial policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
  • Reorganizing and setting up of accounting systems in existing and new organizational set-ups.
  • Development of neat and effective MIS, preparation and monitoring of business plans.
  • Reporting to holding company on monthly & periodical basis on MIS reports and special reports.

 Taxation, Corporate Affairs & Licensing:

  • Handled international tax matters, planning, audits and assessments.
  • Incorporation and registration of new entities - (local and offshore).
  • Liaison with banks & statutory bodies for approval issues.

 Trade & Commercial Operations:

  • Logistics and commercial activities of a company involved in international business. Activities like tender participation, Costing, procurement, shipment, vessel chartering.
