SUBJECT: SEEKING BUSINESS ECONOMISTS (AGRICULTURE-BASED AND MANUFACTURING SECTORS)

PT The Apex Consulting Group (Apex), a Jakarta based consultancy firm working with International Donor Organisations, is seeking a Business economist – agriculture-based sectors and a Business economist – manufacturing sectors for an anticipated EU funded project to conduct a study in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade that will contribute to a further integration of Indonesia into the international trade system, by focusing on a key potential markets such as the EU.

Qualifications for each expert follow:

Business economist – agriculture-based sectors

Qualifications and Skills
Minimum Masters Degree or equivalent in business administration, economics or international trade
  Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia both written and oral
Professional experience
  At least 10 years of professional experience in economic analysis in Southeast Asia, particularly in Indonesia, including the area of trade and investment.
Sound expertise in factors influencing export quality infrastructure in Indonesia as well as business and competitiveness issues, in particular in agriculture-based sectors
  Substantial knowledge about the current trade and export quality infrastructure regulatory framework in Indonesia.
  Substantial working experience in South East Asia, in particular Indonesia

Business economist – manufacturing sectors

  Professional experience

  Sound expertise in factors influencing export quality infrastructure in Indonesia as well as business and competitiveness issues, in particular in manufacturing sectors
  Substantial knowledge about the current trade and export quality infrastructure regulatory framework in Indonesia
  Substantial working experience in Southeast Asia, in particular Indonesia

The Indicative starting date of the project is the beginning of April 2010 with an indicative end date of end December 2010.
