Profile of the Trainer

 

Haider Rizvi is an Associate Professor and Ex-chairperson of the Department of Psychology at University of Karachi. He has taught in all well-reputed leading private universities and institutions at Karachi city. In private sector, he has also worked with Gallup Pakistan in the areas of Focus Groups; at IBA, Social Psychology & Self-Development, in ICMA, Strategic Management & Organizational Behavior. He has facilitated numerous workshops during his 25 years teaching and training experience. In the history of Sindh Police, Haider Rizvi was the first Clinical Psychologist who rendered his services in the recruitment & selection of constables and ASI. Haider Rizvi interviewed and prepared the psychological profile of more than 10,000, applicants.

 

Haider Rizvi holds a Masters of Science in Psychology, a Post magisterial Diploma in Clinical Psychology and for the last 18 years also practicing as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in a local hospital. A noted columnist, Haider's columns feature appears in leading English & Urdu Newspapers on the subject of Terrorism, Negotiation skills, Mental Health issues in Pakistan, psychological aspects of Pakistani politics. His one of the notable publication "Warning signs of Mental illness" is available at University's' website A popular keynote speaker at national and international conferences, Haider talks have been widely covered in the press, his interviews & comments on various psychosocial issues have also been aired on leading channels in national news too. His appearance became quite popular in the GEO's program titled "Uljhan-Suljhan & "Khwab online". Haider Rizvi had also been associated as a deputy Chief (District Central) with Citizens-Police Liaison Committee.
