Mechanical Design Engineer - Rotary and Static Equipments from India



 

We are looking for Mechanical Design Engineers - Rotary and Static Equipments (Both)  from India for 6 months contract duration with scope for permanent employment with our Clients, Leading Oil & Gas Consultancies, in Qatar. Only those candidates having experience in both Rotary as well as Static Equipments will be considered for this position.

Details are as follows:

Qualification: Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: Total 5 to 8 years experience in Oil & Gas Industry

Key responsibilities:
- Basic engineering, FEED and detailed engineering for packages.
- Review of scope of work document to understand the scope.
- Design & Engineering of packages - Preparation of Datasheets,
Specification, Requisition, Technical bid evaluation and vendor document
review.
- Review of fabrication drawings supplied by the vendor for static
equipment.
- Preliminary calculations of static equipment - Vessel, Tanks and
Exchangers.
- Selection of rotating equipment - Compressors, pumps, fans, blowers &
turbines, EOT cranes, chain pulley blocks, etc.
- Develop scope of work for EPC or PC contractor.

Key Technical Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of design codes and practices pertaining to
Mechanical equipment (Static equipment and machinery) - ASME Boiler &
Pressure Vessel Codes (Sec. VIII Div.1, Sec. VIII Div.2, Sec. I, Sec. II,
Sec. V, and Sec. IX), and other standards referred therein, API Codes,
(mainly API 610, 617, 620, 650, 661 & 662), TEMA, NACE, etc. and other
international codes & standards.
- Conversant to computerized working environment.
- Conversant to  PV Elite , Tank Pro etc.
- Good knowledge of material selection and applications for different
services.
- Knowledge on different types of welding techniques, Destructive
(Impact testing, Hardness testing etc.), Nondestructive testing
(Radiography, Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant examinations)
and other testing procedures as applicable to Fabricated & Packaged
Equipment.

2. PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

Qualification:
•Ideal candidates shall have M.Sc Chemistry / B.E. or B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.
•Minimum of 5 years work experience in Product Development / R&D in Petroleum refinery/ Petrochemical plant.

Responsibilities:
•Find new applications for the existing petroleum solvents of the company
•Independently manage REACH registration of company's products
•Make presentations to Management on the product development activities
•Coordinate with the customers on the product qualification processes
•Interact with the customers technically on petroleum product based analysis
•Conversant with Surfactant or be able to read and present on surfactant chemistry
•Willing to travel occasionally
•A team player and willing to work in other Management's sponsored program inside the company from time to time like Six Sigma, EFQM Excellence Model etc.


3. CHIEF PROJECT PLANNING & CONTROL

Qualification:
• Ideal candidates shall have M.Sc / Bachelor of Engineering
• Minimum of 20 years work experience & will be Overall in-charge in Project Planning Section.
• Expert in planning, scheduling and monitoring of major industrial construction project, reports performance progresses, look-ahead.
• Expert on planning and scheduling software (e.g. Primavera & MS project).
• Should have knowledge of Preparation of Cost Control documents, such as cash flow forecast, change orders payment schedules and cost comparison calculations


4. PROJECT PLANNING ENGINEER

Qualification:
• Ideal candidates shall have M.Sc / Bachelor of Engineering

We are URGENTLY SEEKING some professional and well experienced engineers with a good background in the Petrochemical Company to work in Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia with the following position as:

1. STRATEGIC PLANNING ENGINEER

Qualification:
•Minimum of 10+ years of post qualification experience (candidates with having 7+ years experience may be considered if they have the relevant experience)
•Work experience in a large to medium sized petrochemical / chemical industry

With exposure in:
•Chemical process plant operations (or) technical services (or) project functions
•Budgeting and planning functions (exposure in preparation of Capital budget approvals)
•Exposure in Market research / benchmarking / forecasting techniques
•Pre-feasibility and Feasibility studies (quick cost estimation techniques / scoping of
•Detailed feasibility studies and Market studies)
•Financial modelling and investment assessment (familiarity on the importance of Leverage ratios / IRR / NPV calculations/ debt structures).

Responsibilities:
•Market Research / Price forecasting and Analysis
•Competitor Analysis and Benchmarking studies
•Scoping and high level investment estimates and prefeasibility assessments for new business investments and expansion of existing operations.
• Develop marketing plans for new investments and Business expansions in coordination with the Sales and logistics team
•Coordinate feasibility studies and Market studies for new investment proposals and business expansions ( lead cross functional teams constituted for such studies )
•Perform Profitability assessments and develop value improvement strategies for management review and directions
•Develop business plans / Budgets
•Prepare management reports and presentations on a regular basis covering: Market research, Investments and Business expansion proposals and Price trends and forecasting.


2. PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

Qualification:
•Ideal candidates shall have M.Sc Chemistry / B.E. or B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.
•Minimum of 5 years work experience in Product Development / R&D in Petroleum refinery/ Petrochemical plant.

Responsibilities:
•Find new applications for the existing petroleum solvents of the company
•Independently manage REACH registration of company's products
•Make presentations to Management on the product development activities
•Coordinate with the customers on the product qualification processes
•Interact with the customers technically on petroleum product based analysis
•Conversant with Surfactant or be able to read and present on surfactant chemistry
•Willing to travel occasionally
•A team player and willing to work in other Management's sponsored program inside the company from time to time like Six Sigma, EFQM Excellence Model etc.


3. CHIEF PROJECT PLANNING & CONTROL

Qualification:
• Ideal candidates shall have M.Sc / Bachelor of Engineering
• Minimum of 20 years work experience & will be Overall in-charge in Project Planning Section.
• Expert in planning, scheduling and monitoring of major industrial construction project, reports performance progresses, look-ahead.
• Expert on planning and scheduling software (e.g. Primavera & MS project).
• Should have knowledge of Preparation of Cost Control documents, such as cash flow forecast, change orders payment schedules and cost comparison calculations


4. PROJECT PLANNING ENGINEER

Qualification:
• Ideal candidates shall have M.Sc / Bachelor of Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years work experience in project Planning & will be responsible for planning, scheduling and monitoring of major industrial construction project, reports performance progresses, look-ahead.
• Expert on planning and scheduling software (e.g. Primavera & MS project)

Candidate Profile : A Premier B School passout (2003-2005 Batch) with 5-7 yrs experience in Brand Management, New product launching and conceptualisation, media management, etc. in any reputed Indian Co.or MNC into personal care, foods/ dairy products or other FMCG products. Exposure to Brand Buliding, Marketing, Media management in the FMCG/ Foods company is a must.

Job Description:
 

·         All India responsibility for brand building using ATL & BTL Marketing

·         Planning the yearly marketing calendar, Implementation & Analysis of national marketing campaigns

·         Manage the Creative and advertising Agencies

·         Planning and Budgeting of marketing expenses

·        Market Research to gain consumer Insights and penetrate new cities

 

Main Activities

  1. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of the market, his/her products, competitors
  2. Monitoring product quality in liaison with the consumer department and factories
  3. Helping to draw up LTPs and budgets, drafting the annual marketing plan
  4. Proposing actions to be undertaken and methods to be used to achieve sales objectives (promotional and communication actions)
  5. Proposing solutions for the development of new products and improvement of existing products
  6. Conducting studies
  7. Drawing up action plans for his/her products, in keeping with the allocated budget for each product
  8. Assessing returns on investment for advertising and promotion
