Role : New Product Development

Require: 8-10 years of relevant experience with products where `design' aspect is important to consumer preferences.

Scope - 

 

§    Ensure new product development for the Indian market.

§    The incumbent is required to oversee the product development process and monitor trends that indicate the need for new products and communicate needs to the team so as to deliver the new product development target.  

§    Product Manager is required to drive the conceptualisation of the product and manage it throughout the development process to ensure timeliness, quality, profitability and creativity goals of the brand are met.

 

Responsibilities –

 

§    Keep abrest of the market and changing customer preferences and include them in the design process

§    Design and development of new products

§    Manage design team and ensure the market requirement is clearly defined

§    Meets the margin/ profitability objectives.

§    Mapping the product vis-a-vis competition from price, looks, quality, features and differentiation point of view.

§    To effectively collaborate with sales, marketing and manufacturing and ensure products designed and manufactured meet market requirements and help increase sales

 

Position Qualifications-

Education – MBAPGDM or degree in Fashion Technology

 

Work Experience / Skills :

 

9-10 years of experience of which major part should be handling responsibilities similar to the ones directly relevant to this role.

Experience of new product development (NPD) in lifestyle product lines is essential to the requirement.

Ability to spot designs and contect meeting new trends and preferences.

Understanding of design techniques, methodlologies.

Very good analytical abilities.

Should possess abilities to convince and drive the execution with all stakeholders
