Job vacancy : System Administrator



 

MNC Company in banking/financial field is looking for a suitable candidate to join their established organization to support International business.
 
Job Title  : System Administrator
Department  : IT & Telecoms
Location : Cyberjaya or KLC
Reporting to : AM - IT
 
Purpose of Department
To provide excellent front line support to desktop users to achieve maximum customer satisfaction within the specified SLAs.
He/She will work under the direction of IT Managers and AVP-IT to troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered on the production floor and by back office users.
He/She will also assist Systems Engineers in ensuring optimum availability of systems and servers.
 
Job Description
•Acquire and update knowledge on systems and procedures of business processes being supported.
•Ensure that work is completed in accordance with the specified SLA.
•Identify and immediately escalate issues that is beyond Level 1 support.
•Provide timely information to ticket sender.
•Reallocate/turn-over of trouble ticket to next shift as deemed necessary.
•Assists in project implementations by taking part in hardware/software deployment.
•Assist Systems Engineers in addressing all calls for support in accordance with the agreed SLA targets.
•Assist Systems Engineers in monitoring and maintaining system performance SLAs. 
•These are done through daily performance and capacity inspection and the corresponding analysis on trends.
•Assist Systems Engineers in maintaining server, desktop and software inventory as well as historical information on each asset.
•Regularly liaise with Operations teams to identify trends and issues encountered on the production floor and
provide this information to the IT team to ensure that these are addressed and resolved at the earliest possible time.
•Regularly perform Daily Checklist on each shift basis.
•Regularly perform system backup – daily, weekly and monthly.
•Produce progress report as required.
Skills/Experience Required
•Bachelor's degree in an IT related course.
•MCSA/MCSE or CCNA Certified.
•Proficiency in Computer Operating Systems and Office productivity software (MS Windows 2000/XP, MS Office).
•Knowledge in PC hardware and software installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
•Ability to speak and understand English fluently (verbal and written).
•Ability to learn quickly and transfer knowledge appropriately.
•Ability to build rapport with and relate to a wide range of people.
•Ability to multi-task and to maintain focus.
•Flexibility to work on various shifts (24X7).
 
Salary Depending on current salary and market range (usually 20% increment from current salary)
