Our client, one of the pioneer organization as Engineering Service Provider to the industrial sector  in Middle East which provides comprehensive and technically specialized services like Inspection, Project Management, Project Supervision and Maintenance Personnel for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical , Power, Desalination, Production and Allied Industries.
To support their project in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, they are seeking qualified personnel to join their team as:

JOB PURPOSE (Outline scope of Job)
Utilizes sound geological principals and interpersonal skills to collaborate within a multi-functional team to develop 3D geocellular reservoir models for evaluating, optimizing and recommending reservoir development plans, and for input to reservoir simulation projects.  Conducts detailed structural and stratigraphic interpretations and reservoir characterization studies as support for individual/group well recommendations. 

Constructs 3D geocellular reservoir models, populates models with rock properties, and develops simulation-scale models to support reservoir simulation studies. 

Provides technical support to the team by staying current with regard to new technologies, new interpretive and modeling methodologies, and other developments within the geosciences, and act as a technical resource to less experienced team members. 

Provide advanced technical expertise and leadership to the Subsurface Department.  Is a technical expert role model for the organization


Reservoir Characterization
·         Creates integrated geological interpretations utilizing appropriate types of geophysical, geological, and petrophysical data as well as data from other disciplines (reservoir engineering, drilling, etc.) to enhance understanding of development projects
·         Provides geological expertise to validate and incorporate structural, stratigraphic, rock properties, and petrophysics into integrated 3D geocellular modeling projects
·         Constructs reservoir- and simulation-scale 3D geological models utilizing Schlumberger Petrel and IP software, while incorporating interpretations and data from LGC products, including SeisWorks, StratWorks, ZMAP, GeoGraphix, and OpenWorks
·         Works effectively with subsurface geophysicists, engineers, petrophysicists, RMT personnel and operations personnel to ensure robust and consistent reservoir models
·         Incorporate geophysical and petrophysical interpretations into comprehensive 3D geomodels
·         Provides geological and modeling support for field development plans including primary development and EOR/IOR projects
Technical Studies
·         Recommends, plans, designs, coordinates and directs the acquisition and analysis of core, wireline, and other geoscience data necessary to generate, evaluate and upgrade reservoir models
·         Acts as a technical expert and mentor for less experienced subsurface studies geophysical and geological staff.  Provide mentoring, training, and support as needed to enhance current knowledge of RMT staff
·         Participates in business unit and corporate knowledge sharing tools
·         Other duties as directed by the Head of Studies Team or other appropriate management
·         Reservoir characterizations, depletion and management plans for assigned reservoirs
·         New technology application and transfer
·         Mentoring and development of technical staff

·         Daily interaction with other Studies Team members
·         Routine interaction with RMT, IT, Production, Drilling, Facilities, HES, and Accounting staff
·         Mentoring and training of less experienced geological and geophysical staff (in studies team and RMTs)
·         Capacity to develop, support, and present actionable recommendations
·         Ability to effectively collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and reach a technically-sound, supported decision
·         Capability to work independently with minimal technical supervision; ability to solve complex technical and interpretation problems with minimum support
·         Passion for geological interpretation, reservoir characterization, and geocellular modeling
·         Ability to balance technical study requirements with operational and implementation needs
·         Expand sphere in influence by participating in and influencing company ad hoc projects outside the RMT
·         Provide backup to Head of Subsurface Studies Team
·         BS Degree in Geology, MSc degree desirable
·         Minimum of 15 years experience in the upstream oil and gas industry including significant and relevant experience in geological interpretation using current workstation + PC-based software (SeisWorks, Petrel, GeoGraphix)
·         Experience with integration of geophysical, geological, and petrophysical data into geocellular reservoir models, rock and reservoir property data analysis and distribution using appropriate geostatistical methods
·         Experience with upscaling rock and fluid properties from the reservoir scale to simulation scale models, and working knowledge of basic numerical simulation methodologies and limitations
·         Working knowledge of fundamental reservoir engineering concepts, economics, business/financial metrics,  and  related applications
·         Effective in a multi-discipline team environment – creative and collaborative
·         Demonstrated ability to understand complex issues within other disciplines and incorporate into analyses
·         Demonstrated ability to understand complex issues within other disciplines and incorporate into analyses
·         Demonstrated ability to develop, justify and implement actionable recommendations
·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills
