Sr. AIX Administrator
Required Skills:
- Five (5+) years of hands-on experience administering AIX systems through 5.2 and 5.3
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong customer service presence
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

- Previous experience as a systems administrator in a banking environment
- Certification(s) in AIX is preferred.

Job Duties:
- Install, configure, and maintain AIX operating systems on servers
- Experience configuring and using NIM; experience with VIO setup and configurations on IBM servers
- Install, customize, and administer the AIX operating system in a multiuser environment.
- HACMP (High Availability Cluster Multi-Processing)/VIOS administration.
- TSM (TIVOLI Storage Manager) installation, configuration, and troubleshooting on multi Platforms.
- Troubleshoot/support of Logical Volume Management (LVM) within AIX
- Perform and schedule software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
- Evaluate, implement, and manage appropriate software/hardware solutions to ensure data integrity
- Implement system backups and database archive operations to ensure data/media recoverability
- Knowledge in remote clustering is required..
- Conduct routine software and hardware audits to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
- Develop database/library in support of operating systems hardware and software components
- Monitoring of a data centre server environment; communications with the end user as needed
- This position doesn't require working in shift.

This position is on 6 months contract further renewable based on performance. Overseas candidates regardless of VISA status are welcome to apply.
