Senior Technical Writer - Singapore Job Opportunity


Seven (7) or more years experience writing technical documentation for hardware and software applications, including installation, administration, and end-user guides.
Current passport. Must be able to travel internationally (~5%).

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including American English language rules of grammar, syntax, and idioms. Ability to grasp and communicate complex material in a clear, concise, and logical format. Demonstrated attention to detail.

Strong organization, time management, reporting, and analytical skills. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, schedule, and meet deadlines. Ability to work with aggressive schedules and successfully handle last-minute additions and changes. 

Experience working in an Agile software development environment.

Experience employing different authoring, software engineering, and delivery tools (FrameMaker, XMetaL, WebWorks, Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, Java, Eclipse, Subversion etc.)

Technical background in one or more of the following areas a real plus: RFID technology, Linux, Windows, Solaris, WebLogic, WebSphere, Ant Scripts, and Java software programming.

Understanding of structured documentation; ability to differentiate conceptual, reference, and task information

Ability to install, configure, operate, and maintain hardware and software solutions.

Flexible, creative, collaborative, self-starter.  

Gets along well with others. Comfortable working solo or on a cross-functional team. Being a team player and having team skills is a requirement.

Dependable, resourceful, organized, detail oriented.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Duration: 1 yr contract
