The following positions/jobs opening are CRITICALLY NEEDED by our
Multinational client share services based in
Malaysia.
Responsibilities:
Provides technical expertise in the areas of Application Access,
Database and Hosting Services
Provides technical support in the running of the organisation's
computing facilities (Access Management, Database, Web hosting
services and Citrix)
Performs some facets of the engineering, delivery, and services functions.
Develops and implements hosting solutions, typically for large,
cross-functional and complex projects, ensuring technical standards
are met and that solutions meet business requirements. Establishes
and maintains environments for user tests and production purposes.
Provides day-to-day operational support of test and production
database environments and associated hosting infrastructure. Performs
related duties as assigned or requested.
The incumbent will be responsible for the following operational functions:
Provide 24 x 7 on-call operational support for Database, Web Hosting
and Citrix support,
IIS Webserver installation configuration and Support
B2B Citrix, SSL VPN and WSSG services, including liaison with managed
service providers,
Account and Space Management
DBMS Administration including installation , patching, backup and
recovery, database performance and troubleshooting
DBMS architecture standards and guidelines management, and consulting
services to business IT groups.
Accountability:
Global business IT responsibility
Collaboration on international projects
Technical lead on projects and operational services
Support and maintain a high quality service in terms of problem
resolution, service reliability, and performance
Available to work in a 24 hour shift environment including weekends
and holidays.
Complexity:
Identify and troubleshoot incidents in a complex environment
Contact and work with multiple resolving agencies to ensure incident
resolution
High degree of matrix working skills required to work with other SCS
groups and business IT groups in service improvement initiatives or in
response to major service issues
Work on complex multi-dimensional problems and assist in developing
innovative solutions based on knowledge of multiple discipline
Specialised Knowledge:
Basic Requirements:
Graduate calibre. Proven experience in Oracle/SQL Server RDBMS
technologies and their management, including backup technologies (such
as RMAN, Netbackup) and failover solutions (such as RAC, Dataguard,
Mirroring).
Ability to be trained in new technologies such as Access Provisioning,
Virtual server support, Web hosting and Citrix
Preferred Requirements:
Understanding and experience of Operating Systems including Solaris,
HP, AIX, Linux, Windows
Basic understanding of following technologies
IIS, ASP and .NET technologies
Web based technologies such as J2EE and Apache Tomcat
Secure web hosting requirements such as firewalls, SSL, VPN
Citrix metaframe and Services Security Gateway technology
SOAP (simple object access protocol)
Requires excellent analytical ability, consultative, communication
skills, strong judgement and the ability to work effectively with
client and IT management and staff
Knowledge of Business Units functions/applications is a plus
Understanding of validated systems in a pharmaceutical environment is
an advantage
